Wow, Can't believe it's already December! The weather has been cooling down.. although you probably can't tell by our outfits, these were taken a couple weeks ago when it wasn't as chilly. Although the busiest time of the year (stressful!) this is also definitely our favorite time of the year because we get to focus on spending time with our family and friends and of course, each other. 

We are spending the weekend in San Diego together, we did this last year and it was soo fun, we kind of decided to make it a annual bff (short) trip together during the holidays. Excited for our mini getaway and to catch up on all the girl talk that we've missed due to our busy schedules.

Happy ALMOST Holidays! This past weekend C was my date to a Christmas event I had to attend to. Dressing for the Holidays can be festive and fun if you want it to be...it's the only time of year where wearing greenish and red tones together makes sense. This weekend was also our Christmas "gifts" to each other, we ate and drank wine Saturday and shopped the entire day Sunday..it's been a while since we spent the weekend together so it was really great catching up- we needed this ;)

We hope all of you are almost or DONE with Christmas shopping! Going to the mall this weekend was fun but also horrible at the same time...crowds of people and ridiculous parking. We were SOO happy when we finally found a parking spot after going through every single parking structure with no luck. I'm not even joking we were screaming and high-fiving and jumping up and down, we were THAT happy about finding...a parking spot. 

It was that bad but also felt that GOOD when we found one so good luck at the malls this weekend! Shhh.. Can anyone spy something different with C? 

These boots WERE made for walking! They are the most comfy boots ever and they go with almost every outfit.  C and I went shopping a while ago and came across these cute boots at Cathy Jean- they were on sale and could work folded down too! We both wanted them...so we both got them.  That happens a lot with us when we shop...we almost always end up buying some of the same things.

The weather has finally been feeling like fall- I can't wait for Fall but I also don't know if my body is ready for the cold haha but either way, I'm happy! Time to dust off my coats, leggings, boots and layer on the clothes ;)

Also, if you haven't noticed already, C has chopped off her long hair! This is a pretty big deal because this girl has had long, long hair for YEARS (15+ years to be exact) and she finally got enough courage to chop it. It may not be a big change to all of you but on her, it's a BIG change- it's refreshing, new and I love it!

Election Day!

 Happy Election Day! It's an important day- we hope everyone already has or will be voting today!

Our outfit post was inspired by Election Day- red, white, and blue.  Our Buylove tote bags went perfectly with our outfits too because of the red ink.

We've been hoping and praying for the fall weather to stay but it looks like it's back to summer weather again..it was back up to 90's this past weekend...only in Cali will we be able to dress in summer outfits during fall.

On another note, we had a small photoshoot for Buylove last Friday and were excited that we will be able to release a few new items out to you before the holidays.. so stay tuned! We have some super cute things in store for you all ;)

Dressing it Down

J's Outfit: Dress- Forever 21, Jacket- Urban Outfitters, Boots- Forever 21

When we were younger we used to spend, spend, spend...on what? On items that we wore once and never wore again- not because we didn't like wearing the same thing twice because the items we bought were one hit wonders (weird colored items or fashion trends that would NEVER come back again).  As we got older, we got smarter and started purchasing items that can be worn multiple times and can even be versatile enough to dress up or dress down! 

Were both wearing dresses that we were able to dress down, I paired my tie-dye dress with a leather jacket, some flat boots and it made it less dressy, C added a denim vest to her dress, cute sandals and it brought the outfit down too. I love when I score on items like these! It makes me happy when I can wear an item multiple times just by changing my accessories around and it instantly turns it into a whole new outfit ;)

Pumpkin Picking

I'm loving that Halloween falls on a Wednesday this year- it makes the holiday feel so much longer! Having fun with costumes isn't the only reason why I love Halloween, pumpkin carving is also another one of my favorites...pumpkin cookies, pumpkin cakes, pumpkin drinks, this month is pumpkin everything! I get into the spirit of all holidays and Halloween is the first to start it all off ;)

Right across from Cal Poly Pomona there is a huge pumpkin patch and I went this weekend to pick out my pumpkin! It was really hot this past weekend so it was back to summer outfits- my simple, casual, and comfy items kept me cool and since the pumpkin patch was so huge, my chucks made it perfect for all that walking.

Black & Orange

Happy almost-Halloween! Orange and black no matter what always screamed Halloween so I made sure to never wear those two colors together but as I got older, experimenting made it Ok and now it's not so bad! Especially with the neon trend going on right now, the neon-ish orange toned down the "ugly" orange and turned it into a cute color.

We can't believe it's Halloween week already, does everyone have their costumes ready? We always do some kind of DIY with our costumes every year so be prepared to see what we have in store this year...I'm excited! Halloween is one of our favorite holidays, it's always more fun for us to do costumes as a group and this year won't be any different...stay tuned ;)

We've got the Blues

We were feeling blue- maybe because it's already almost fall and the weather is not even close to being cold. Were over the skirts, shorts, and tanks! We want to wear our scarves and coats...we can't even wear long pants without overheating. It especially sucks that all the retail stores are already stocking up on fall items and I admit I have already bought a few new fall items too but it doesn't look like i'll be able to wear any of them soon. Cali, start cooling down or else you'll force me to move somewhere else that's cooler! ;)

Mirror, Mirror: LC & Lo

Lauren Conrad has been our favorite since the Laguna Beach days for Celia and for me during her own show, The Hills. We've been keeping up/following her style for years now- she's our fashion icon! This week we have decided to Mirror LC and her best friend, Lo. Lo has been by Lauren's side throughout the years of drama and after all that has happened they've still remained BFF's (their friendship really reminds me of what I have with MY bff- C!).

We took our photos in LA, down the street from Sprinkles (our favorite cupcake spot!). We heard Sprinkles opened up an ice cream store next door so of course he HAD to go! It was well worth the trip- Red Velvet ice cream on a Red Velvet cone= HEAVEN!

1) LOVE how they incorporated the Sprinkles logo into the Sprinkles ice cream sign 2) I got jipped with my single scoop..look how much bigger Celia's is compared to mine!

What We Wore: Patterned Tops!

Patterned tops are so much fun to wear because you can dress the top up or down and with a top that stands out already,  it is easy to pick out the rest of your outfit to compliment that top! It's funny because Jamie and I both liked each other's tops better than our own- right when we saw each other before taking the photos, we wanted to switch tops. These tops are also PERFECT for summer because they're made out of sheer material, layer a tank underneath for cooler nights and during the day, just wear a bandeau underneath to keep cool without having to show too much skin!

 We also wanted to introduce to you all to a special (little) edition to our Buylove family (warning: too much cuteness ahead)
