It has been super windy the past few times we've taken outfit photos- windy and cold. Our winter coats kept us warm though. Winter is the perfect time to layer, layer on the clothes and of course add an extra layer of you know what from all the food we've been eating...haha

The new year has started off busy for us so we're trying our best to keep up with blogging! For the most part we can work around our schedules but it's been hard working around the weather...it rains one second and is sunny the next, Cali is being bipolar.

Brrr, it's cold out here!

C & J's Scarves- American Apparel

Brrr, it's been SO cold- ridiculously cold and our matching AA scarves are the perfect accessories to keep us warm! We got these a while ago when shopping at AA and we actually never got the chance to wear them because it's made of a thick cotton material, it has never been cold enough to wear until now.  

Accessorizing has always been Celia's thing- I however always forget about accessories even though I have so many but I'm glad I remembered that we had these scarves because it has been keeping my neck warm! Since it's also a infinity scarf, you can style it differently by double layering or wearing it as one. During the daytime when it's a tiny bit warmer I'll usually wear it as one and when nighttime comes around, double layering it gives me that extra warmth- it's PERFECT!

Layering

J's Outfit: Sweater/Jeans- Forever 21, Boots- Zara, Coat- H&M

The best thing about the weather lately, layers! You can always count on Cali for perfect weather and winter in Cali...is awesome.  I found this super comfy sweater the other day and it looks thick but it isn't so I was able to layer it with other items, it gave me the perfect amount of warmth ;) the studs on the shoulders were an added bonus!

My little sister is home for the holidays so I'm enjoying my family time- she only comes back a few times during the year. What does everyone have planned for NYE? I keep forgetting it's coming up next week...I can't believe another year is right around the corner!

Addicted to Booties

My name is Jamie and I am addicted to shoes. 

How gorgeous are these leopard print booties from Zara- I ordered them a few weeks back and they look better in person. I do have an addiction to shoes and those who know me...know I have way too many pairs of shoes. What can I say, they make me happy and my shoe size will ALWAYS be the same so that means the shoes I buy are for forever ;)

It finally got a little cooler and I was able to wear my favorite big sweater, it's a simple outfit but the shoes..added that something to it. Simple with a little added spice is my type of style!

Red Lips

C's Outfit: Blazer- Urban Outfitters (Gift from J), Shirt- H&M, Shorts & Necklace- Forever21, 

Lipstick- Nars, Mascate

I used my favorite NARS matte red lipstick to add to my otherwise black and white outfit.

I used to NEVER wear colored lipstick (I was always a chapstick, sometimes lipgloss kind of girl) until pretty recently. I remember telling J how scared I was of wearing lipstick in public and of course, being the bff that she is, she reassured me it would be fine. Even when I was scared to try it myself though, I've always loved the way lipstick could light up a girl's face or instantly add to her outfit. Now that I'm past my fear, I've definitely become a lipstick collector even digging through my mom's drawers and trying on her colors. 

Can't wait for REAL fall weather so I can see the plum colors and dark lipstick come out. I've never been more excited for the cold!! It seems like just yesterday we did a lipstick post when summer was almost starting-- now it's already November!

Dressing it Down

J's Outfit: Dress- Forever 21, Jacket- Urban Outfitters, Boots- Forever 21

C's Outfit: Dress & Beanie- H&M, Vest- Forever 21

When we were younger we used to spend, spend, spend...on what? On items that we wore once and never wore again- not because we didn't like wearing the same thing twice because the items we bought were one hit wonders (weird colored items or fashion trends that would NEVER come back again).  As we got older, we got smarter and started purchasing items that can be worn multiple times and can even be versatile enough to dress up or dress down! 

Were both wearing dresses that we were able to dress down, I paired my tie-dye dress with a leather jacket, some flat boots and it made it less dressy, C added a denim vest to her dress, cute sandals and it brought the outfit down too. I love when I score on items like these! It makes me happy when I can wear an item multiple times just by changing my accessories around and it instantly turns it into a whole new outfit ;)

For those who know me, I have this crazy obsession over shoes. Yes, I'm obsessed over quite a few things but they come and go...SHOES have been my forever obsession. It's already August which means those who are in school have started and once school starts...FALL and WINTER is right around the corner (scary yes but I CAN'T WAIT). We've been going through a major heat wave here in CA and I'm kinda over it- cooler weather means BOOTS, jackets, and scarves! I've been obsessing over boots lately and even though it's been hot here I've been wearing boots as much as I can- they go with everything..even summer gear like shorts/tanks- they can be worn year round!

Also, it doesn't help that all stores are now transitioning into fall too. I'm seeing coats, sweaters and scarves in stores already!

I'm SO ready for you ;)
