For Better or Worse

J's Outfit: Dress- Forever 21, Shoes- Zara
C's Outfit: Dress- Forever 21, Shoes- ASOS

--------

It's been a long while but were back! While I was in Vietnam I heard from C that our good friend got engaged, we were so incredibly happy for her. I was even more happy knowing that I would be back in time for the big day and it just passed about 2 weekends ago. It was like a mini-reunion for us; the older we get the harder it is for all of us to get together so it was really, really good to see everyone together in one place. Weddings, like birthdays and holidays are just magical on it's own, they give me warm fuzzy feelings and I just.. love it.

I got ready at C's place and like always literally while walking out the door heading out we noticed our outfits were unintentionally matching. People always think it's planned and maybe SOMETIMES (very rarely) it is but we really don't plan it; it just happens. Either way, C and I don't see each other as often anymore but it's good to know our minds are still on the same wave length <3

"There's no place like home..."

J's Outfit: Top- Brandy Melville, Skirt/Boots- Forever 21, Sunglasses- RayBans

I feel like a modern day Dorothy from The Wizard of Oz in these red booties and of course I would be tapping them and saying "There's no place like home...". Other than my red chucks these are the only other pair of red shoes I have and I love it, it's a great statement piece and the best part about them was the price. Forever 21 makes great booties that perfectly fit my small feet and it's the best bargain for me because I wear them so much- it gives me the most bang for my buck!

I'm slowly reaching my 3 month mark here in Vietnam and I'm also starting to get really home sick. I've had a few "bad" days here in Vietnam too so If only life were like the movies, tapping my red shoes would bring me home. As much as I'm learning and enjoying my time here, going home for even an hour would be SO good right now.

I hope everyone has a great weekend! Can you believe that April is ALMOST over? That's just crazy...

Bargain Find!

J's Outfit: Top- Bargain Find, Shorts- Forever 21, Boots- Sam Edelman

Sadly I haven't been doing as much shopping as I would like to while traveling but I did get this cute white tank the other day! I knew it would be hot here so I packed a bunch of simple items before coming but I've been getting bored with my basics. This tank is perfect because it's still simple but the floral pattern makes it a little "dressier" and adds a little more to my outfits + it keeps me cool and as an added bonus, I bargained it down to $3!

For some reason though it has been harder for me to bargain here in Vietnam. They don't give in as easily and they don't budge- maybe thats why I haven't been shopping much because I won't budge my asking price either haha hopefully once I get more comfortable I'll find more items!

I was randomly scrolling through my camera today and started feeling home sick. It's finally hitting me...I miss home. I miss In-N-Out, I miss Chloe, I miss my car, I miss my family and I especially miss my girlfriends...

Bff's Bday Month

Sweater: H&M, Jean Vest: Forever21, Pants: BDG
Bow Flats: Forever21, Bag: Buylove

Before J left, she dressed up my buylove bag with some material we had leftover in our office and I absolutely love it!! It's my little memory of her ;) I also love how it happened to match this outfit I wore the other day. Anyways, the weather in LA was amazing this past weekend, but sadly I was sick so majority of my time was spent in bed. Hoping to get better by this weekend though!!

It's officially MARCH-- this month is a BIG month because it's J'S BDAY MONTHHHH!! It feels so strange without her being in the same country but either way, I hope it's a super special month for her because she deserves nothing but the best.

Opposites Attract!

J's Outfit: Top- Brandy Melville, Jeans- Juicy Couture, Boots- Forever 21
C's Outfit: Top & Vest- Forever 21, Shoes- Nike Dunks

Opposites attract, sometimes and in this case, they do! I think it's the color scheme of our outfits that make this work...C's outfit is so biker chic and mine is way more feminine with the floral top but the colors in our outfits are all neutral- there are blue, black and white-ish tones that blend both our different outfits together and btw how awesome are C's Nike dunks? ;)

--------------------------------

I miss dressing and accessorizing my outfits, I'm so sad it's nearly impossible to do here in Vietnam. It's too hot to layer, it's too "dangerous" to wear jewelry because I may get robbed anytime, and the least amount of items on you the better *sigh* this sucks- I miss all my clothes and my SHOES back at home.

Another thing, I can't believe MARCH starts at the end of this week! I feel like the days and weeks go by slow but once I realize it's the start of another month, it hits me how fast it went by. I'm enjoying my traveling time so far but I do miss home and of course my bestie. I usually always know what's going on with her but being on opposite ends of the world makes it hard- thank goodness for email, magic jack, and phone apps, I think it's funny that our friendship is now electronic based haha <3 whatever works!

It's Summer Over Here!

J's Outfit: Top- Forever 21, Skirt- Brandy Melville, Belt- NastyGal, Sunglasses- Raybans

As some of you or all of you know, I'm on the other side of the world- traveling in Southeast Asia, Vietnam to be exact! One of my goals this year was to travel more and to not "think twice" so here I am, it's my first time here and it took a while to get adjusted to the humid/hot weather but it's getting better. It's definitely summer for me over here,  cool airy clothes are my go to items.

This Brandy Melville skirt I got for Christmas is made of thin, soft material so it keeps me nice and cool AND keeps the mosquitos away ;). Too bad it's a little too humid to really dress nice, I tend to dress extremely simple here just because you step outside and start sweating almost instantly. Either way, I'm taking advantage and putting all my summer items to good use!

Have a great weekend, everyone and keep checking back to get updates on both of our lives on opposite ends of the world- wished you were here with me, C <3!

The Holiday Blues

J's Outfit: Pants/Jacket- Forever 21, Top- Brandy Melville, Boots- Steve Madden
C's Outfit: Leggings- Forever 21, Sweater- Cotton On, Coat- H &M

The Holidays are officially over but that means now we can enjoy our gifts! C and I went on a mini trip for our Christmas together during December and of course we did a bit of shopping for ourselves. Were both wearing items that we bought during that shopping trip, I finally found some floral pants and C got these super cute (& warm) leggings.

It does make me really sad that there are no more short vacation weeks to look forward to and the houses with Christmas lights are slowly disappearing but hopefully this year will be life changing for the both of us. Were planning out the year for Buylove and ourselves so stay tuned- it's 2013 and it's a whole new year to look forward to ;)

Layering

J's Outfit: Sweater/Jeans- Forever 21, Boots- Zara, Coat- H&M

The best thing about the weather lately, layers! You can always count on Cali for perfect weather and winter in Cali...is awesome.  I found this super comfy sweater the other day and it looks thick but it isn't so I was able to layer it with other items, it gave me the perfect amount of warmth ;) the studs on the shoulders were an added bonus!

My little sister is home for the holidays so I'm enjoying my family time- she only comes back a few times during the year. What does everyone have planned for NYE? I keep forgetting it's coming up next week...I can't believe another year is right around the corner!

Happy Holidays!

J's Outfit: Cardigan & Dress- Urban Oufitters, Shoes- Gifted, Belt- Forever 21
C's Oufit: Skirt- Brandy Melville, Blazer- CottonOn, Dress Turned Top- Target, Shoes- Lita

Happy ALMOST Holidays! This past weekend C was my date to a Christmas event I had to attend to. Dressing for the Holidays can be festive and fun if you want it to be...it's the only time of year where wearing greenish and red tones together makes sense. This weekend was also our Christmas "gifts" to each other, we ate and drank wine Saturday and shopped the entire day Sunday..it's been a while since we spent the weekend together so it was really great catching up- we needed this ;)

We hope all of you are almost or DONE with Christmas shopping! Going to the mall this weekend was fun but also horrible at the same time...crowds of people and ridiculous parking. We were SOO happy when we finally found a parking spot after going through every single parking structure with no luck. I'm not even joking we were screaming and high-fiving and jumping up and down, we were THAT happy about finding...a parking spot.

It was that bad but also felt that GOOD when we found one so good luck at the malls this weekend! You could also be smart and do all your gift shopping online- we have Free Shipping still going on in our store that ends tonight- take advantage of no crowds and if you order by today we will make sure it gets to you before Christmas (use code: OURXMAS).

Addicted to Booties

J's Outfit: Sweater- BCBG, Suede Pants- Forever 21, Booties- Zara

My name is Jamie and I am addicted to shoes.

How gorgeous are these leopard print booties from Zara- I ordered them a few weeks back and they look better in person. I do have an addiction to shoes and those who know me...know I have way too many pairs of shoes. What can I say, they make me happy and my shoe size will ALWAYS be the same so that means the shoes I buy are for forever ;)

It finally got a little cooler and I was able to wear my favorite big sweater, it's a simple outfit but the shoes..added that something to it. Simple with a little added spice is my type of style!

Opposites Attract

J's Outfit: Sweater- Zara, Skirt- Forever 21, Boots- Steve Madden, Watch- Michael Kors

Sometimes, opposites attract and that same saying goes with my outfit! I scored this knit sweater (on sale, too) at Zara the other day and I decided to pair it with this skirt I bought a while ago but never wore and voila, it worked. I love outfits that take seconds to put together..I'm not always this lucky though.  The cooler weather allowed me to wear this thick knit sweater but it wasn't cold enough to put on some pants.  I guess I'm subconsciously trying to extend my skirts/shorts wearing until it does get too cold to bare legs!
It's supposed to rain this weekend. I'm not a rain person but the thought of rain outside while I'm still warm in bed and NOT at work...I'm down for that ;)

Have a great weekend everyone, it's Friday!

These BOOTS were made for walking!

J's Outfit: Jacket- Forever 21, Skirt- Urban Outfitters, Leggings- Pretty Polly
C's Outfit: Vest & Sweater- Forever 21, Jeans- Urban Outfitters

Were both wearing Boots from Cathy Jean
and both using our Buylove- Best Friend Strength Totes

Shhh.. Can anyone spy something different with C?

These boots WERE made for walking! They are the most comfy boots ever and they go with almost every outfit.  C and I went shopping a while ago and came across these cute boots at Cathy Jean- they were on sale and could work folded down too! We both wanted them...so we both got them.  That happens a lot with us when we shop...we almost always end up buying some of the same things.

The weather has finally been feeling like fall- I can't wait for Fall but I also don't know if my body is ready for the cold haha but either way, I'm happy! Time to dust off my coats, leggings, boots and layer on the clothes ;)

Also, if you haven't noticed already, C has chopped off her long hair! This is a pretty big deal because this girl has had long, long hair for YEARS (15+ years to be exact) and she finally got enough courage to chop it. It may not be a big change to all of you but on her, it's a BIG change- it's refreshing, new and I love it!

Election Day!

C's Outfit: Top: Urban Outfitters, Shorts- True Religion, Booties- Forever 21
J's Outfit: Top- Brandy Melville, Skirt- bought in Asia, Shoes- Zara

Were both using our Buylove - Best Friend Strength Totes ;)

Happy Election Day! It's an important day- we hope everyone already has or will be voting today!

Our outfit post was inspired by Election Day- red, white, and blue.  Our Buylove tote bags went perfectly with our outfits too because of the red ink.

We've been hoping and praying for the fall weather to stay but it looks like it's back to summer weather again..it was back up to 90's this past weekend...only in Cali will we be able to dress in summer outfits during fall.

On another note, we had a small photoshoot for Buylove last Friday and were excited that we will be able to release a few new items out to you before the holidays.. so stay tuned! We have some super cute things in store for you all ;)

We hope you all have a great rest of the week and don't forget to VOTE, VOTE, VOTE!

Dressing it Down

J's Outfit: Dress- Forever 21, Jacket- Urban Outfitters, Boots- Forever 21
C's Outfit: Dress & Beanie- H&M, Vest- Forever 21

When we were younger we used to spend, spend, spend...on what? On items that we wore once and never wore again- not because we didn't like wearing the same thing twice because the items we bought were one hit wonders (weird colored items or fashion trends that would NEVER come back again).  As we got older, we got smarter and started purchasing items that can be worn multiple times and can even be versatile enough to dress up or dress down!

Were both wearing dresses that we were able to dress down, I paired my tie-dye dress with a leather jacket, some flat boots and it made it less dressy, C added a denim vest to her dress, cute sandals and it brought the outfit down too. I love when I score on items like these! It makes me happy when I can wear an item multiple times just by changing my accessories around and it instantly turns it into a whole new outfit ;)

Have a great weekend, everyone- TGIF!

Love, C & J
