Wow, Can't believe it's already December! The weather has been cooling down.. although you probably can't tell by our outfits, these were taken a couple weeks ago when it wasn't as chilly. Although the busiest time of the year (stressful!) this is also definitely our favorite time of the year because we get to focus on spending time with our family and friends and of course, each other. 

We are spending the weekend in San Diego together, we did this last year and it was soo fun, we kind of decided to make it a annual bff (short) trip together during the holidays. Excited for our mini getaway and to catch up on all the girl talk that we've missed due to our busy schedules.

It's been a long while but were back! While I was in Vietnam I heard from C that our good friend got engaged, we were so incredibly happy for her. I was even more happy knowing that I would be back in time for the big day and it just passed about 2 weekends ago. It was like a mini-reunion for us; the older we get the harder it is for all of us to get together so it was really, really good to see everyone together in one place. Weddings, like birthdays and holidays are just magical on it's own, they give me warm fuzzy feelings and I just.. love it.

I got ready at C's place and like always literally while walking out the door heading out we noticed our outfits were unintentionally matching. People always think it's planned and maybe SOMETIMES (very rarely) it is but we really don't plan it; it just happens. Either way, C and I don't see each other as often anymore but it's good to know our minds are still on the same wave length <3

Sorry we've been lacking on the blog posts lately but we've both been so busy. Whether it be because of moving (yes, we were half way across the world from each other and happened to both be moving the same week!), traveling, or busy with work, we were both doing something and didn't have much down time. 

Through all this hectic mess though, I was able to get great news from C that she would be stopping in Vietnam for a few days before a work trip to China! *Gahhhh* 

It's been a full almost 6 months since we've last seen each other and it was SO good seeing this girls face popping out between a cart full of luggage. It just honestly felt good to finally see a familiar face and that face just so happened to be my bestie.  C wasn't here for very long, or maybe the time she was here just went by too fast but it was great catching up, getting updates on home, life, and the latest gossip (celebrity gossip of course, lol). Apparently Kim Kardashian has had her baby and her name is NorthWest?!

Anyways, not only were we able to reunite but our LOVE tees were able to too so we decided to do an outfit post on it! Our LOVE tees are just fun to share with someone- whoever it may be. We both wore our tee's so many times separately and they became even cuter when they were re-connected with its other half.

I'm coming home in less than 4 days and I can't wait- can't wait to be back HOME!

Floral Patterns for Summer

J's Outfit: Skirt- NastyGal, Top- Bargain Find, Wedges- Target, Bag- FreePeople

Floral patterns remind me of summer and the hot sun so this top that I found at a random street store here in Vietnam perfectly matches the weather here! It's also made of a very sheer material so it keeps me cool. I kept the rest of my outfit simple, my skater skirt from NastyGal has been one of my go-to pieces here because it can easily be dressed up or down. It's been a while since I shopped so I was really happy to find some items for super cheap (bargaining of course), I also hunted down these awesome shades the other day and I'm in love with them!

I'm nearing my 3 months mark in Vietnam, there are things I hate here and things I love...I have a few months left here so I'm trying to savor every moment. If you've been following our Instagram (@buylovegivelove) then you'll know that C is coming to visit sometime before I head back home so I can't wait! I'm saving a few things that I've been wanting to do here for when she comes ;)

Coachella dreamin'

This monday was my first day back to reality after the much anticipated Coachella and my mini vacation! I made this floral crown for myself and some girlfriends for Coachella and after being back, I couldn't fully let go of the Coachella-vibe and decided to wear it for this outfit. In addition to my floral crown, I've also been looking at youtube videos and photos from Coachella, can't believe it's all over and I'm already looking forward to next year!!

I used this tutorial as a reference to make the crowns, it took some time but it turned out better than I thought: FLORAL CROWN TUTORIAL

ps. I know J's last post was referred to "there's not place like home" but I just wanted her to know that "home is not the same without HER." It's been a couple months now and with some soon to be changes going on in my life recently, I really miss her!! Sometimes things just don't feel right without your bff to share it with, it's okay though-- we scheduled a phone date tonight and it's much needed!

It's about that time again...

It's about that time again, festival season time! C and I went to Coachella last year with a group of friends and had an AMAZING time so we jumped on buying tickets this year, it was stressful and time consuming but we got the tickets and I can't believe it's coming up this weekend. We bought the tickets almost a year in advanced, crazy! Sadly though I had some great opportunities come up and decided to travel abroad for a little bit and won't be able to go anymore ;(. 

I'm so jealous that I'll be missing out this year but C, I hope you have a great time and please video record all the good performances for me!

My outfit is dedicated to Coachella because it's the only thing I can do to make myself feel better for not going anymore, this tank will help me pretend that I'm there this weekend. It's a casual comfy outfit, the weather here of course is still hot so I need to stay as cool as possible. Also, I got this skater skirt and new high-top leopard Vans as birthday gifts from my girlfriends back at home and wanted to outfit the two together! I received a care package from them a few days ago <3 I say this all the time but it's true, my life would be incomplete without my girlfriends.

oh how i miss my other half, J! Even though we are miles apart, we are still matching which i love love LOVE :) 

It's been heating up in LA, so I'm finding myself grabbing skirts/shorts and sandals lately- as you can tell in this outfit. Although, I did hear on the radio it was going to rain this Sunday, so not sure what's going on! As J mentioned in her entry, this shirt is perfect for this weather... it is lightweight and so easy to match with almost anything. Can't believe it's going to be April soon, where has all the time gone?? Good news is, the faster time goes by, the sooner J is homee- yay!

I've mentioned before that it's ridiculously hot here in Vietnam- I step out and I'm drenched with sweat within seconds. Thankfully I packed my Buylove LOVE tee (can be bought here). It's made of a thin material that isn't too heavy or too light and that makes it the perfect tee, especially in this weather!  

And as an added bonus to why I love it, it reminds me of C because we share the shirt set with each other- she has the other half <3. The simple black/white colors make it easy to outfit around too. I paired them with my lace shorts from Zara and threw on a denim vest to add some color.

Even though C and I are miles and miles apart right now, I LOVE that we have these matching tee's because it reminds me of who I'm sharing it with so it never feels like she's too far. Who would you share this LOVE tee set with?

Happy Birthday, J!!

Dear J:

It’s your birthday today (here in the states) and I feel like something is missing that the day is going by and I’m not picking up cupcakes or doughnuts or spoiling you with presents ;)  It definitely hit me today that you are not with me and although it makes me sad I can’t be there to spend your bday with you, I am so happy for you and everything you are experiencing!

The older we get, the more I realize how truly special our friendship is- we’ve literally been through it ALL and I realize now that friendship isn’t about partying together (although that’s super fun too lol) or spending 24/7 together, true friendship is loving and accepting each other as we are and being their for each every step of the way.

 As we reach our “late 20’s” CAN YOU BELIEVE IT?! ….. lol don’t kill me…. We are starting our path of true “adulthood” but just know that I will always be there for you to go on a cupcake run, watch movies in our pjs, or be crazy with because we are each other’s youth #foreveryoung baby!!! :D love you! Better be kicking butt over in asia!

Bargain Find!

J's Outfit: Top- Bargain Find, Shorts- Forever 21, Boots- Sam Edelman

Sadly I haven't been doing as much shopping as I would like to while traveling but I did get this cute white tank the other day! I knew it would be hot here so I packed a bunch of simple items before coming but I've been getting bored with my basics. This tank is perfect because it's still simple but the floral pattern makes it a little "dressier" and adds a little more to my outfits + it keeps me cool and as an added bonus, I bargained it down to $3! 

For some reason though it has been harder for me to bargain here in Vietnam. They don't give in as easily and they don't budge- maybe thats why I haven't been shopping much because I won't budge my asking price either haha hopefully once I get more comfortable I'll find more items!

I was randomly scrolling through my camera today and started feeling home sick. It's finally hitting me...I miss home. I miss In-N-Out, I miss Chloe, I miss my car, I miss my family and I especially miss my girlfriends...
