Reunited and yep, it felt good!!

Sorry we've been lacking on the blog posts lately but we've both been so busy. Whether it be because of moving (yes, we were half way across the world from each other and happened to both be moving the same week!), traveling, or busy with work, we were both doing something and didn't have much down time. 

Through all this hectic mess though, I was able to get great news from C that she would be stopping in Vietnam for a few days before a work trip to China! *Gahhhh* 

It's been a full almost 6 months since we've last seen each other and it was SO good seeing this girls face popping out between a cart full of luggage. It just honestly felt good to finally see a familiar face and that face just so happened to be my bestie.  C wasn't here for very long, or maybe the time she was here just went by too fast but it was great catching up, getting updates on home, life, and the latest gossip (celebrity gossip of course, lol). Apparently Kim Kardashian has had her baby and her name is NorthWest?!

Anyways, not only were we able to reunite but our LOVE tees were able to too so we decided to do an outfit post on it! Our LOVE tees are just fun to share with someone- whoever it may be. We both wore our tee's so many times separately and they became even cuter when they were re-connected with its other half.

I'm coming home in less than 4 days and I can't wait- can't wait to be back HOME!

New Years Resolution

I love hats but I never wear them. I don't have a big collection but I do have a few and they just sit there with dust on top of them, it's really sad. This one in particular has been one of my favorites that I bought a few years ago from H&M and of course, never wore and it's not because I don't want to wear it, half the time it's because I never remember to.

Accessories and I don't go well together. I have tons of it but I'm the type of girl that throws things on and runs out of the house. It's kinda horrible but I buy accessories, I love them but I never put them to good use so really, it becomes a waste of money for me. I know the new year has already started but I'm adding another thing to my resolution list, I will make more of an effort this year to accessorize (with what I already have) and not buy anything new. Let's see how well that goes..

Brrr, it's cold out here!

C & J's Scarves- American Apparel

Brrr, it's been SO cold- ridiculously cold and our matching AA scarves are the perfect accessories to keep us warm! We got these a while ago when shopping at AA and we actually never got the chance to wear them because it's made of a thick cotton material, it has never been cold enough to wear until now.  

Accessorizing has always been Celia's thing- I however always forget about accessories even though I have so many but I'm glad I remembered that we had these scarves because it has been keeping my neck warm! Since it's also a infinity scarf, you can style it differently by double layering or wearing it as one. During the daytime when it's a tiny bit warmer I'll usually wear it as one and when nighttime comes around, double layering it gives me that extra warmth- it's PERFECT!

Sequins for the New Year!

Happy 2013, everyone! Our outfits were inspired by the New Year, sparkly- shiny- & fun. 2012 was good but were both looking forward to what 2013 has in store for us. A new year allows us to start fresh and I think that thought is what excites me every time a new year happens- we all get a chance to start over.

I know we've been talking and dressing around the weather a lot lately but we can't help it! Not only did winter come late this year, we feel like it's the coldest winter we've ever had so far and it's FREEZING. We find ourselves running to or from our cars straight into where ever were at for the warmth, anyplace is warmer than outside!

The weather has been cooling down a lot and I find myself grabbing my beanies and scarves every day. Wore this outfit for a casual day out with J- having some alone time with her was what I really needed. With Christmas around the corner, I'm really enjoying spending time with my loved ones. It's these moments in life that truly matter. Can't wait to see what 2013 has in store for us!

Addicted to Booties

My name is Jamie and I am addicted to shoes. 

How gorgeous are these leopard print booties from Zara- I ordered them a few weeks back and they look better in person. I do have an addiction to shoes and those who know me...know I have way too many pairs of shoes. What can I say, they make me happy and my shoe size will ALWAYS be the same so that means the shoes I buy are for forever ;)

It finally got a little cooler and I was able to wear my favorite big sweater, it's a simple outfit but the shoes..added that something to it. Simple with a little added spice is my type of style!

My cousin got me this crop top a couple weeks ago from Brandy Melville. Since it's nearing the end of summer I managed to wear it at least once before the weather gets fully winter status (it kind of already has!). Haven't worn something that showed my belly since college (or Halloween but that doesn't count ) so it felt a little weird. Balanced it out with a light blazer and some high waisted pants though, so it wouldn't feel as revealing :)

Goodbye Summer (FINALLY), I won't miss you!

PS. It's Thanksgiving this week- Jamie & I are celebrating early this year, can't wait to see her ;) holidays are so much fun esp with the bff!

Opposites Attract

Sometimes, opposites attract and that same saying goes with my outfit! I scored this knit sweater (on sale, too) at Zara the other day and I decided to pair it with this skirt I bought a while ago but never wore and voila, it worked. I love outfits that take seconds to put together..I'm not always this lucky though.  The cooler weather allowed me to wear this thick knit sweater but it wasn't cold enough to put on some pants.  I guess I'm subconsciously trying to extend my skirts/shorts wearing until it does get too cold to bare legs!

It's supposed to rain this weekend. I'm not a rain person but the thought of rain outside while I'm still warm in bed and NOT at work...I'm down for that ;)

Dressing it Down

When we were younger we used to spend, spend, spend...on what? On items that we wore once and never wore again- not because we didn't like wearing the same thing twice because the items we bought were one hit wonders (weird colored items or fashion trends that would NEVER come back again).  As we got older, we got smarter and started purchasing items that can be worn multiple times and can even be versatile enough to dress up or dress down! 

Were both wearing dresses that we were able to dress down, I paired my tie-dye dress with a leather jacket, some flat boots and it made it less dressy, C added a denim vest to her dress, cute sandals and it brought the outfit down too. I love when I score on items like these! It makes me happy when I can wear an item multiple times just by changing my accessories around and it instantly turns it into a whole new outfit ;)

Pumpkin Picking

I'm loving that Halloween falls on a Wednesday this year- it makes the holiday feel so much longer! Having fun with costumes isn't the only reason why I love Halloween, pumpkin carving is also another one of my favorites...pumpkin cookies, pumpkin cakes, pumpkin drinks, this month is pumpkin everything! I get into the spirit of all holidays and Halloween is the first to start it all off ;)

Right across from Cal Poly Pomona there is a huge pumpkin patch and I went this weekend to pick out my pumpkin! It was really hot this past weekend so it was back to summer outfits- my simple, casual, and comfy items kept me cool and since the pumpkin patch was so huge, my chucks made it perfect for all that walking.

Girls Night Out!

C and I were in Little Tokyo last night, there was a FALL FEST event at the Japanese American Museum that had wine tasting and live music! We haven't seen each other in a while (even a few days seems like forever) so we decided to turn it into girls night out! We had dinner, spent some time in Little Tokyo and got desserts afterwards, it's always great to catch up with your BFF and we had a LOT to catch up on especially with the start of Halloween coming up...

With fall coming around the corner (or is it?!), I wanted to take advantage of the weather and wear my favorite studded shorts! They were a birthday gift from my cousin and she studded them herself. They are my first (& only) high waisted shorts and unfortunately, summer is pretty much over and I haven't found another pair I like. You can't really tell in the top photos but I also added this cute spike headband for fun, it makes me feel like statue of liberty when I wear it. 

Like J mentioned earlier, Halloween weekend is almost here! We've been so busy working lately, I can't wait to spend some (non-work) time with J :)

Black & Orange

Happy almost-Halloween! Orange and black no matter what always screamed Halloween so I made sure to never wear those two colors together but as I got older, experimenting made it Ok and now it's not so bad! Especially with the neon trend going on right now, the neon-ish orange toned down the "ugly" orange and turned it into a cute color.

We can't believe it's Halloween week already, does everyone have their costumes ready? We always do some kind of DIY with our costumes every year so be prepared to see what we have in store this year...I'm excited! Halloween is one of our favorite holidays, it's always more fun for us to do costumes as a group and this year won't be any different...stay tuned ;)
