Goodbye, Summer.

My cousin got me this crop top a couple weeks ago from Brandy Melville. Since it's nearing the end of summer I managed to wear it at least once before the weather gets fully winter status (it kind of already has!). Haven't worn something that showed my belly since college (or Halloween but that doesn't count ) so it felt a little weird. Balanced it out with a light blazer and some high waisted pants though, so it wouldn't feel as revealing :)

PS. It's Thanksgiving this week- Jamie & I are celebrating early this year, can't wait to see her ;) holidays are so much fun esp with the bff!

Election Day!

 Happy Election Day! It's an important day- we hope everyone already has or will be voting today!

Our outfit post was inspired by Election Day- red, white, and blue.  Our Buylove tote bags went perfectly with our outfits too because of the red ink.

We've been hoping and praying for the fall weather to stay but it looks like it's back to summer weather again..it was back up to 90's this past weekend...only in Cali will we be able to dress in summer outfits during fall.

On another note, we had a small photoshoot for Buylove last Friday and were excited that we will be able to release a few new items out to you before the holidays.. so stay tuned! We have some super cute things in store for you all ;)

Happy Friday! Subtle prints like mini florals and stripes (my top is very thinly striped) made our outfits coordinate in its own way- basic colors like black/white/browns/greys mixed in with random colors here and there are always my go-to type outfits, 1 colored item and the rest basic..easy!

Can't believe it's OCTOBER next week...Oct is the official start to the holidays (if you don't know already Halloween is one of our FAVORITE holidays!) so as excited as we are that Oct is right around the corner...it's also freaking us out that it's...right around the corner. We haven't even planned out our costumes yet and usually we know WAY ahead of time what were going to be...

time needs to slow down a little.

Floral Patterns

A while ago I did an inspiration post on floral patterns- I was loving it then and I'm still loving it now! Since floral patterns make a statement on its own I like to keep the rest of my outfit simple. Celia and I worked on a few things for Buylove this past Saturday and it was HOT (it was around 90-100 degrees this weekend!) so our floral skirts were perfect & kept us cool.

Buylove Inspired, Peplum style!

When I first started seeing this trend, I wasn't sure if I really liked it. As I started seeing it more on tumblr and different blogs though, it started really growing on me. I've been on the search for a peplum style top ever since! It think it's the perfect transition from summer to fall and it can dress up any outfit in a second. The only thing is, I'm realizing that it's actually really hard to find a peplum top that fits me well, im still searching!! Loving this look though, especially the one styled with mint jeans- super cute!

As most of you know, I just came back from Cabo! Although it's great to be home, it was definitely amazing to really relax and get away for a couple days. I hate packing and tend to always over pack- Cabo was no different. I was texting Jamie while packing and her advice was to not overpack because I will probably be living in my bathing suit and ofcourse, SHE WAS RIGHT! ;D It was so hot/humid and I was constantly around water so my bathing suits were my go-to. Being at the resort for a couple days, I saw so many girls with such cute bathing suits that right when I came home I started looking online... totally obsessed right now!!

It's been SO hot lately, major heat wave! It's not just hot...it's the don't move and stay in one place don't touch me hot (I HATE it!) What's going on? Weather's going crazy and we had two earthquakes recently too. I usually never feel the small earthquakes but this time, I felt it. Were mirroring Ashlee and Jessica Simpson this week and it was a perfect one because our outfits were totally made for SUMMER- Celia's wearing a sheer blouse and I paired a skirt with a black bandeau + I finally found a HAT (previous post) that I was able to use for the photo! Our outfits are dressy but cool to wear at the same time.

Now don't we all just want to go jump into the pool? Lucky for C she'll be living in her bathing suit for the next week since she's in cabo! The pool will have to do for me, I'm going to be jumping into mine soon right after this post! ;)

While C's getting ready for her week and a half trip to Cabo I'm on the side pretending and dreaming I'm there with her ;) We love summer because summer is the perfect time for tropical vacations and we've decided you NEED to have at least one (or more) tropical vacation every summer!

Have you guys read or seen this article before? Celia emailed it to me a few weeks ago and it was eye opening- "life is a result of intentional habits. So I decided to do the things that were most important to me first, not last...You won’t always be young. And life won’t always be just about you. So travel, young person. Experience the world for all it’s worth. Become a person of culture, adventure, and compassion. While you still can."

I completely agree. Every year, do SOME type of traveling. I say at least 3 (or more) trips each year, it should be ours (and yours) resolution every year...take trips and travel more! Have a great weekend everyone ;)

Buylove, Inspired: Flower Power Floral!

Floral, Floral, Floral- I'm in love with floral. I've BEEN loving floral since the year started and I'm really not sure what triggered it. It's such a fun pattern to play with because there are so many different types of floral design and it's exploding everywhere- I'm seeing them on pants, tops, purses, shoes, and accessories, there's so many options! I'm still on the search for some floral pants though, all the ones I liked have been sold out of my size so sadly I still don't own a pair.

We've been going through some major heat waves lately and the floral patterns are perfect for summer- they add style to any outfit and flowers in general are just sweet to look at!
