Opposites Attract

J's Outfit: Sweater- Zara, Skirt- Forever 21, Boots- Steve Madden, Watch- Michael Kors

Sometimes, opposites attract and that same saying goes with my outfit! I scored this knit sweater (on sale, too) at Zara the other day and I decided to pair it with this skirt I bought a while ago but never wore and voila, it worked. I love outfits that take seconds to put together..I'm not always this lucky though.  The cooler weather allowed me to wear this thick knit sweater but it wasn't cold enough to put on some pants.  I guess I'm subconsciously trying to extend my skirts/shorts wearing until it does get too cold to bare legs!

It's supposed to rain this weekend. I'm not a rain person but the thought of rain outside while I'm still warm in bed and NOT at work...I'm down for that ;)

What We Wore: Summer Loving!!

We haven't blogged an outfit in awhile, so we thought it would be fun (we've also been super busy over here) but it's officially summer! As you can tell by our outfits we're busting out all our floral, shorts/skirts, wedges, and of course the absolute MUST for summer.. bright colored nails! ;) Even though it's been super hot, outfits during summer are so much fun to play dress up with. Enjoy (and try to stay cool) in the heat, friends!!!

Mixing & Matching Patterns

When we were younger the rule was to NEVER mix patterns- now that were older and the times have changed, mixing and matching patterns has turned into a surprisingly eye catching and FUN way to play with your wardrobe. Celia had a harder time finding items to mix her outfit with (the idea of mixing patterns is still new to us too) but I think her outfit turned out super cute!

You may feel like it's hard to find the right patterns to put together but try to follow these simple rules: after experimenting with it, we think it's easier to mix and match patterns that aren't #1: the exact same and #2: don't wear two types of patterns that fight one another, choose either your top or bottom print to be bolder than the other.

Either way, have fun with it and be adventurous- go mix and match your patterns, you can do it! ;)
